NASCAR Gander RV 400 Predictions 5/5/19

Gander RV 400 Predictions

The NASCAR Monster Energy Series moves to Dover International Speedway this afternoon for the running of the Gander RV 400. Here’s some drivers we like to contend for the victory today.

According to the latest oddsmakers, Kyle Busch is the favorite to win today, as he has 5/2 odds to prevail. Other short odds to win are Joey Logano (6/1), Kevin Harvick (13/2), Brad Keselowski (8/1) and Martin Truex Jr. (8/1). The Gander RV 400 is set to take place today at 2PM ET from Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware.

Bet on NASCAR Odds

51000 Kyle Busch 5/2

Busch has some pretty short odds, but there is good reason for that. He has three wins on the year and is leading the old points system. When it comes to driving at Dover, Busch has three wins over his career. Busch’s driver rating at the track is 105.2, while his average finish is 14.8 there. Busch is consistently near the front of the pack, especially at his stronger tracks. Dover is one of his stronger tracks.

51004 Chase Elliott 9/1

We picked Elliott last week and he came through with a win at Talladega. We like him again this week, as Dover has been a great track for the young driver. Over six races in his career at the track, he has five top-5 finishes there and one victory. His average finish at Dover is 4.3, while his driver rating is 105.0. Those numbers are just too good to ignore, especially with him coming off some momentum from a win last week.

51014 Daniel Suarez 50/1

For the same reason we like Elliott, we think Suarez has really good value at 50/1. Suarez has competed at Dover four times in his career and has finished in the top 10 in all four races. His average finish there is just 6.8, while his driver rating is 92.2. Given those numbers, it is surprising to see him with such long odds. Suarez currently sits 12th in the standings and he has finished inside the top 20 in all but two races this year. I think with a little luck, Suarez can get his first-career victory.
