The NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series waves the green flag for the Auto Club 400 later today. Here are three drivers we like to contend for the victory.
According to the latest oddsmakers at YouWager, Kevin Harvick is the favorite to win this race, has he has 2/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Kyle Busch (3/1), Kyle Larson (4/1) and Martin Truex Jr. (5/1). The Auto Club 400 takes place on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 3:30PM ET from Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California and will air live on FOX.

It’s hard to imagine that Kevin Harvick can win a fourth straight Cup Series race, but California is another good track for him. He is a former winner at Fontana with 11 top-10 finishes. His aver finish at the track is 15.0, while his driver rating there is 97.4. That ranks fifth in the field. Given his hot streak, I expect Harvick to remain the man to beat today.

Busch has some of the best numbers at Fontana, as he is a three-time winner at this track. His average finish over 19 races is 10.8 while his driver rating there is 108.6. Busch has finished second in the last two races, placing behind Harvick. Busch is someone that is too talented to not pick up victories eventually so I think he can be the man to end Harvick’s run today.

Elliott has done well in his two races at California prior, placing in the top 10 in both appearances. His driver rating at this track is 109.0 while his average finish is 8.0. Elliott has been hot and cold this season, placing in the top 10 in two races and outside the top 30 in the other two. I think Elliott has another good showing at California and can possibly steal the win with a little luck.
