Lilly Diabetes 250 Predictions
The NASCAR Xfinity Series gets the racing weekend started this afternoon with the running of the Lilly Diabetes 250. Here’s three drivers we like to contend for the victory.
According to the latest oddsmakers, both Christopher Bell and Ryan Blaney are co-favorites to win, as each is listed with 3/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Ryan Preece (10/1). The Lilly Diabetes 250 takes place today at 3PM ET from Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, Indiana. The race will air live on the NBC Sports Network.
53000 Christopher Bell 3/1
Bell has been in a bit of a funk, finishing outside the top 20 in the last two races, but those were in competitive events with Cup Series drivers. This field is pretty light and mostly Xfinity Series regulars. That leaves the door open for Bell, who has four wins in 2018 already. He also has nine other top-5 finishes. I think he will be the man to beat on Saturday.
53001 Ryan Blaney 3/1
Blaney doesn’t compete in the Xfinity Series often, but when he does it leads to very good results. This year he has competed in three races and he has one win with two fourth-place finishes. Last year, Blaney had two wins and seven runner-up finishes. Blaney should be able to push Bell for the victory today.
53005 Elliott Sadler 10/1
Sadler is one of the most veteran drivers in the race today. He has not picked up a win this year, but he has been steadily in the top 5. Sadler has 12 top-5 finishes this year and a total of 20 top-10 finishes. He has already finished in the top 6 of this race the last three years and should be right in the mix again today. I think he can come away with the win and provide a nice payout.
