Zippo 200 Picks
The NASCAR Xfinity Series waves the green flag for the Zippo 200 later today. Here are some drivers we like to contend for the victory.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Kyle Busch is favored to win this race, as he has 2/1 odds. Other short odds to win are Brad Keselowski (7/2), Joey Logano (7/2), Kevin Harvick (7/1) and Kyle Larson (7/1). The Zippo 200 takes places today at 2PM ET from Watkins Glen International.
Kyle Busch has not won this particular race, but he has finished second in previous efforts. Watkins Glen has been a good track for him in the Monster Energy Series, so there is no reason to lack in confidence in him for this race. Busch has won three of seven Xfinity races he has competed in this year and he should be the car to beat again today.
Joey Logano is the two-time defending champion of this race and he finished third in 2014. He has really had control of this race and he seems like a good option to win a third straight race. Logano has one win in the Xfinity Series this year with three other top-3 finishes. On a road course, there aren’t many that are going to compete with Logano today.
Kevin Harvick is a former winner of this very race and I expect good things from him again today. Harvick has competed in just four Xfinity races this year and finished fourth or better in all four of them. Today shouldn’t be any different. He is one of the best road course drivers around and now competes in a lighter Xfinity Series field, so that should put him near the front all day.
