Zippo 200 Predictions
The NASCAR Xfinity Series gets the racing weekend started this afternoon for the running of the Zippo 200. Here’s our picks to contend for the win in this road course race.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Brad Keselowski is the favorite to win this race, as he is getting odds of +175 to win. Other short odds to prevail are Joey Logano (+200) and AJ Allmendinger (+350). The Zippo 200 takes place today at 3PM ET from Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, New York. The race will air live on NBC.
52101 Joey Logano +200
Logano is a two-time winner of this race, claiming the victory in 2015 and 2016. He also finished second a year ago. This has been a strong race for him, obviously, and he has been a steady driver on road courses. This year, Logano has competed in just three races in the Xfinity Series and he has a win and a runner-up finish. I think he will be the man to beat today.
52102 AJ Allmendinger +350
AJ Allmendinger doesn’t compete in the Xfinity Series often, but when he does, he tends to win. He last drove in this series in 2013 when he won a pair of road races. He returns this year at Watkins Glen, another road course. Allmendinger is a former winner at this track in the Cup Series and known for his road expertise. I would think he will certainly push for the win this afternoon.
52103 Kyle Larson +1000
Larson isn’t someone you will see with such long odds in a Xfinity Series race very often, but he hasn’t been the most successful when it comes to road courses. Still, he is a Cup Series driver and experienced at Watkins Glen. He finished third in this race back in 2016 and has finished in the top 5 at Watkins Glen in the Cup Series as well. If you are looking for a bigger payout, Larson may be the best option for you today.
