(The Spread) – The Heat will look to put their collapse in Game 2 beyond them when they travel to Dallas to play the Mavericks tonight.

Line Movement: When the opening odds were released, the Mavericks were actually 3-point favorites. But the line has dropped to 2.5 at most books, although in some places Dallas has gone back up to –3. The total hasn’t changed much, although it did open at 187.5 at some books.
Trends: According to latest NBA trends, the Heat are 5-1 against the spread in their last six trips to Dallas but are 7-15-1 ATS in their last 23 meetings against the Mavericks overall. Game 2 Rewind: The Heat seemingly had this game in the bag until the closing minutes. That’s when the Mavericks turned up their effort and essentially stole the game in Miami. Dirk Nowitzki, who was incredibly down the stretch, finished with a team-high 24 points and 11 rebounds, while Shawn Marion added 20 points and eight boards. For Miami, Dwyane Wade’s 36-point effort was wasted in the collapse.
