76ers vs. Warriors Pick
Are the host Golden State Warriors going rout another opponent when they host the Philadelphia 76ers tonight at 8:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Warriors are listed as a 13.5-point favorite on the spread line. The total is set at 229 points.
The Sixers enter with a 6-5 record after a 109-108 loss at the Kings which snapped a five game win streak. Golden State is 9-3 following a 125-101 home win over the Timberwolves. The Warriors won both meetings straight up last season, but Philadelphia covered the spread both times. The under went 2-0.
In the loss at Sacramento, Robert Covington led the way with 24 points and seven rebounds. Joel Embiid contributed 22 points and 15 boards. Ben Simmons added 18 points, six assists and two steals. A go-ahead basket by the Kings’ De’Aaron Fox with 13.4 seconds left sunk Philly.
The Warriors were paced by Klay Thompson in the win over the T-Wolves as he accounted for 28 points, five rebounds and three assists. Steph Curry had 22 points, eight assists and eight rebounds. Omri Casspi added 13 points off the bench. Golden State played without Kevin Durant (thigh contusion), who is expected to be back in the lineup tonight. The Warriors outscored Minnesota 74-51 in the second half.
Philadelphia is 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings. The under is 5-0 in the last five meetings.
The Warriors are back to normal after some up-and-down early-season play. With Durant back in the lineup, oddsmakers expect the hosts to roll in this one. It should be an interesting and entertaining contest, however, with the Sixers’ young core making Philly one of the NBA’s rising teams. It is hard to bet against Golden State at home, but it can’t blow everyone out. Expect Philly to make a statement and keep this one relatively close.
