Griffin, Clippers 12/1 to win NBA title
LOS ANGELES, CA (The Spread) – While they’re not favored, Blake Griffin and the Clippers should be in the mix to win next year’s NBA title based on the odds.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Clippers have 12/1 odds to win the 2016 NBA Championship. Only the Cavs (11/4), Spurs (3/1), defending champion Warriors (5/1) and Thunder (17/2) have better odds.
Speaking of Griffin, a league sources tell ESPN.com that the forward will participate in next month’s USA Basketball minicamp in Las Vegas. Griffin hopes to play in the 2016 Summer Olympics, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro.
As ESPN.com’s Ramona Shelburne notes, Griffin was forced to withdraw from last year’s Team USA training camp for the FIBA World Cup after doctors advised him that he needed to give a back injury more time to heal.
