Celtics vs. Wizards Prediction
Following back-to-back losses to the Knicks and Blazers, are the Celtics a good bet to cover versus the Wizards tonight at 7:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Wizards are now 1-point home underdogs versus the Celtics after the game opened as a pick’em. As for the total, the number hit the board at 217.5 but was bet down to 217.
Isaiah Thomas scored 41 points in the loss to the Blazers on Saturday, adding three rebounds, six assists, six turnovers and four 3-pointers. The rest of team is dealing with illness, including Tyler Zeller, who will be available tonight, Jonas Jerbko, who will also be available, and Demetrius Jackson, who will be unavailable to play against the Wizards. Gerald Green will also miss tonight’s game.
Bradley Beal is dealing with a left foot injury but played through the ailment on Monday, hitting 6-of-16 shots and four 3-pointers while scoring 18 points. He also added five rebounds, four assists, a steal and four turnovers in the win over the Hornets. The 109-99 victory over Charlotte was Washington’s fifth win in its last six games.

OUR PREDICTION: I like the Celtics coming off a loss, even though they lost to Portland as an 8-point favorite coming off a 117-106 defeat versus the Knicks. Boston has covered in five of its last games versus Washington, is 5-1-1 against the spread in its last seven road games and is 8-2-2 at the betting window in its last 12 road games versus an opponent with a winning home record. The Wizards, meanwhile, are just 5-12 against the spread in their last 17 games playing on no rest.
