Hornets on a cover streak
Charlotte is coming off a 108-99 win over Houston on Saturday night to end a three-game losing streak. The Hornets have covered the spread in six straight games. Charlotte is 22-41 on the season, 12-20 on the road, 33-30 against the spread and 34-29 with the under.
The Hornets have the league’s worst offense, averaging 102.2 points per game while shooting 43.3 percent from the field. Defensively, Charlotte is giving up 109.3 points per game while opponents shoot 47.5 percent from the field. Devonte’ Graham is leading the team with 17.8 points and 7.5 assists per game. Terry Rozier is adding 17.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists per contest.

Atlanta is coming off a 118-101 loss at Memphis on Saturday for a third straight loss. The Hawks are now 19-46 on the season, 13-19 at home, 29-35-1 against the spread and 38-27 with the over.
The Hawks are putting up 111 points per game on offense while shooting just 44.7 percent from the field and 33 percent from the arc. Defensively, Atlanta is giving up 119.2 points per game while opponents shoot 47.7 percent against them. Trae Young is leading the team with 29.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 9.2 assists per game. NBA Betting Trends
Charlotte
The Hornets have covered in six straight games as an underdog and in five of their last six against a losing team.
Atlanta
The Hawks are 0-4 against the spread in their last four Monday games, but 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 home games.
Prediction:
The Hawks picked up a 122-107 win over the Hornets in Charlotte in the first meeting back in December. The Hornets come into this game playing pretty well. Even in losses to the Bucks, Spurs and Nuggets, they have managed to cover. The Hawks have struggled in recent games with the Grizzlies and the Wizards, so I expect the struggles to continue against the Hornets tonight. Charlotte has been clicking lately and I like their guard play to combat Atlanta’s.
NBA Prediction: Charlotte Hornets +4.5
