Charlotte Hornets vs. Indiana Pacers NBA Predictions 12/12/16

Hornets vs. Pacers Prediction

The Hornets haven’t been a good underdog play this season but will they upset the Pacers tonight at 7:00PM ET as a small dog?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Pacers are now 2-point home favorites over the Hornets after opening as a 1-point favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 212 and hasn’t moved as of this writing.

Bet Tonight’s NBA Action

HORNETS KEY TRENDS: The Hornets are 14-5 at the betting window in their last 19 games coming off a loss of more than 10 points and are 10-4-1 against the spread in their last 15 games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game. They’re also 11-5-1 against the number in their last 17 games versus Central opponents and have covered in six of their last seven games played on Monday.

PACERS KEY TRENDS: The Pacers are 4-1 against the spread in their last five home games versus a team with a winning road record but are just 5-11 at the betting window in their last 16 games after scoring 100 points or more in their previous contest. They’ve also failed to cover the number in five of their last six games coming off a win.

OUR PREDICTION: As an underdog this season, the Hornets are just 1-3-1 at the betting window while losing by an average margin of 6.2 points over those five games. That said, Charlotte is a perfect 4-0 against the spread in its last four games versus the Pacers and is 3-1-1 at the betting window in its last five games in Indiana. The Pacers have been inconsistent all season and with Kemba Walker saying he’ll play following an injury scare against the Cavs in the Hornets’ most-recent game, I’ll back the better team tonight.
