Bulls flip-flopping
Chicago has alternated wins and losses over its last nine games and the Bulls are coming off a 98-81 loss at home to Sacramento last night. Chicago is 17-30 on the season, 7-15 on the road, 22-24-1 against the spread and 25-22 with the under.
The Bulls are respectable on defense this year, allowing just 107.7 points per game while opponents shoot 46.5 percent against them. Offensively, Chicago is putting up 105.4 points per game while shooting 43.6 percent from the field. Chicago is without some key players in the frontcourt as Lauri Markkanen and Wendell Carter Jr. are both out. They combine for 26.7 points and 16.4 rebounds per game. Zach LaVine is leading the team with 24.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists per contest.
Cavs continue skid
Cleveland is on a six-game losing streak right now following a 124-112 loss at home to the Wizards. They are 2-4 against the spread during this current streak. The Cavs are 12-33 on the season, 6-16 at home, 19-25-1 against the spread and 24-21 with the over.
The Cavaliers are putting up 104.9 points per game on offense this season while shooting 45 percent from the field. Defensively, Cleveland is giving up 114.1 points per contest while opponents shoot 48.8 percent against them. Collin Sexton is leading the team with 19.3 points per game while Kevin Love is putting up 17.4 points and 10.0 rebounds per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Chicago
The Bulls are 7-17 against the spread in their last 24 Saturday games, but 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 games as a road underdog.
Cleveland
The Cavs are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six home games and 0-5 ATS in their last five games as a favorite.
Prediction:
Chicago just grabbed a two-point win at home over Cleveland last weekend, but the Cavs won the meeting in Cleveland back in October. Despite that, I like the Bulls tonight. Even though Chicago is coming off a game last night, I just don’t like the way the Cavs are playing right now. Cleveland is getting outmatched by most opponents right now and the team doesn’t seem to be clicking with new coach John Beilein. Chicago at least has the ability to defend and can score at times. I think they will be able to run past the Cavs tonight on the road.
NBA Prediction: Chicago Bulls +1.5
