Warriors drop five straight
There hasn’t been many positives for the Warriors this season and they are currently riding a five-game losing streak after a 119-104 loss at Boston. Golden State is now 10-39 on the season, 3-22 on the road, 23-26 against the spread and 27-22 with the under.
Golden State is putting up only 105.6 points per game on offense this season while shooting 42.9 percent as a team. Defensively, the Warriors are allowing 114.3 points per game while opponents shoot 47.3 percent against them. D’Angelo Russell is leading the team with 24 points and 6.3 assists per game. Alec Burks is adding 15.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per contest.
Cavs look to stop the bleeding
Cleveland has dropped two straight and nine of its last 10 following a 115-109 loss at home to the Raptors. The Cavs are 13-36 on the season, 6-19 at home, 21-27-1 against the spread and 28-21 with the over.
The Cavs have struggled on offense all season, averaging just 105.4 points per game while shooting 45.2 percent as a team. Defensively, Cleveland is allowing 114.1 points per game while opponents shoot 48.9 percent against them. Collin Sexton is leading the Cavs with 19.6 points per game while Kevin Love is adding 17.5 points and 9.7 rebounds per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Golden State
The Warriors are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games against a team with a losing home record.
Cleveland
The Cavs are 1-4 against the spread in their last five home games and 29-59-1 ATS in their last 89 games as a favorite.
Prediction:
This is certainly about who can be a little less bad tonight, as opposed to who can be the stronger team. I have to go with the home team since the spread is small. The Warriors haven’t been able to win on the road while Cleveland has been mildly competitive at home. The Cavs playing the Raptors tough on Thursday night and had a 15-point win in Detroit over the last week, so there is a little positive momentum building compared to the Warriors, who have lost their last four by at least 11.
NBA Prediction: Cleveland Cavaliers -1.5
