Pacers dominate Thunder
Indiana cruised to a 111-85 home victory Tuesday night over Oklahoma City to improve to 7-4 overall and 5-1 at home. The Pacers led 52-42 at halftime and outscored OKC in every quarter of the contest. T.J. Warren led Indiana with 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting including 1-of-2 from 3-point range plus 2-of-2 at the free throw line. He also recorded three rebounds, three assists and two steals. Malcolm Brogdon contributed 20 points, six boards and five assists. Domantas Sabonis accounted for 18 points, 16 rebounds and two assists. Aaron Holiday added 17 points, four caroms and four assists.
Rockets win fifth straight
Houston earned a 102-93 victory Wednesday night at home over the LA Clippers to improve to 8-3 overall and 4-1 at home. The Rockets led 31-15 after one quarter and put it away in the fourth after Los Angeles rallied back in the second and third quarters. James Harden led the Rockets with 47 points on 12-of-26 shooting including 7-of-13 from 3-point range plus 16-of-17 at the free throw line. He also recorded seven assists, six rebounds and three steals. Russell Westbrook tallied 17 points, two boards and two assists. Clint Capela added 12 points, 20 caroms and two blocked shots.
NBA Betting Trends
Indiana
The Pacers are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games overall. Indiana is 8-3-1 ATS in its last 12 Friday games.
Houston
The Rockets are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. Houston is 1-3-1 ATS in its last five Friday games.
Prediction:
The Pacers had been just fine without center Myles Turner and also as they await the return of star guard Victor Oladipo. Sabonis and Brogdon have taken control of lead roles and excelled. This is a tough test here, but I like the makeup and fight of the visitors plus the given points on the spread. Indiana has only covered one of its last six times in Houston, but I see the Rockets having a letdown after the win over the Clippers a couple nights ago.
