Pacers on fire
Indiana comes into tonight’s game on a five-game win streak while going 4-1 against the spread. That includes a win in Denver last night, 115-107. The Pacers are 28-15 on the season, 11-10 on the road, 24-18-1 against the spread and 22-20-1 with the over.
The Pacers are a solid defensive team, allowing just 106.3 points per game while holding opponents to 44.7 percent shooting. Offensively, Indiana is putting up 109.5 points per game while shooting 47.3 percent as a team. Indy is being led by T.J. Warren, who is averaging 18.2 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. Domantas Sabonis is adding 18.0 points, 13.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists per contest.
Jazz bounce back
Utah had a lengthy win streak come to an end on Thursday in an OT loss at New Orleans, but they bounced back on Saturday with a 123-101 win at home over Sacramento. The Jazz are now 29-13 on the season, 16-3 at home, 23-19 against the spread and 22-20 with the over.
The Jazz are putting up 110.5 points per game on offense this year while shooting 47.2 percent from the field and a league-best 38.8 percent from the arc. Defensively, Utah is giving up just 106.4 points per game while holding opponents to 44.6 percent shooting. Donovan Mitchell is leading Utah with 24.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. Bojan Bogdanovic is adding 21.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Indiana
The Pacers are 9-4-1 against the spread in their last 14 games as a road underdog, but 1-4 ATS in their last five games playing on no rest.
Utah
The Jazz have covered the spread in six straight home games and in 10 of their last 12 games as a favorite.
Prediction:
Indiana won the first meetings between these two, but that was at home and back in November. Utah is playing much better right now. The Pacers are on a hot streak as well, but they had a tough game in Denver last night and will be a bit worn out with the quick turnaround. The Jazz have really started clicking the last month and have been pretty dominant at home. I think their defensive ability will really suck the life out of Indiana while Mitchell and Bogdanovic spark the offense to over 115 points. That should be enough to cover against the Pacers.
NBA Prediction: Utah Jazz -7
