Clippers sell?

Despite being 5 games over .500, the Clippers elected to trade Tobias Harris, Boban Marjanovic and Mike Scott to the 76ers for rookie guard Landry Shamet, Wilson Chandler and Mike Muscala, along with some draft picks. Los Angeles comes into this game 30-25 overall, 15-13 on the road, 30-25 against the spread and 28-26-1 with the over.

Los Angeles is averaging 114 points per game on offense this season while shooting 47 percent as a team. Defensively, the Clippers are giving up 113.6 points per game. Along with the trade, Los Angeles could continue to be without forward Danilo Gallinari, who is battling a back injury. Harris was the leading scorer on the team with 20.9 points per contest. Gallinari averages 19 points per game while Lou Williams is putting up 19.4 points per contest.

Pacers on a win streak

Indiana is on a surprising 3-game win streak following a 136-94 win over the Lakers at home on Tuesday. The Pacers are now 35-19 on the season, 19-7 at home, 27-27 against the spread and 30-24 with the under.

The Pacers are one of the stronger defensive teams in the NBA, allowing just 103.5 points per game. Offensively, the Pacers are putting up 108.4 points per game while shooting 47.6 percent from the field. Indiana continues to be without Victor Oladipo, who averaged 18.8 points per game. Bojan Bogdanovic leads the active roster with 16.4 points per game while Domantas Sabonis is adding 14.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Los Angeles

The Clippers are 4-1 against the spread in their last five road games and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games against Central division opponents.

Indiana

The Pacers are 10-4 against the spread in their last 14 games against Pacific division opponents, but just 3-8 ATS in their last games following a win.

Prediction:

The Pacers have looked good over the last week, managing to win despite their short-handed roster. Tonight they are at home against a Clippers team that will be playing with a thin roster. Los Angeles actually hasn’t been a bad road team, but I don’t trust them out East without their leading scorer. I think the Pacers defense should be able to keep this game low-scoring and that will lead Indiana to the win and cover.

NBA Prediction: Indiana Pacers -5.5
