Magic vs. Grizzlies Pick
Will the Orlando Magic keep rolling Wednesday night when they play at the Memphis Grizzlies? Tip-off is at 8PM EST.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Grizzlies are a 6-point favorite on the spread line. The over-under is 206 points.
The Magic enter with a 5-2 record after a 115-99 triumph at the Pelicans. Memphis is also 5-2 following a 104-99 home loss to the Hornets. The two meetings were split last season straight up and ATS. The over-under went 1-1 as well.
Orlando was paced by Nikola Vucevic as he tallied 20 points and eight rebounds in the win at New Orleans. Evan Fournier had 20 points and four assists. Jonathan Simmons also scored 20 to go with six rebounds and four assists. Marreese Speights contributed 18 points, five rebounds and three assists. Aaron Gordon added 17 points and seven rebounds. The Magic outscored the Pelicans 55-35 in the second half.
Tyreke Evans led the Grizzlies in the loss to Charlotte with 19 points, 10 rebounds and three assists. Mike Conley Jr. contributed 16 points and six assists. James Ennis scored 11, while Marc Gasol added 10 points and seven rebounds. Memphis was outscored 31-17 in the fourth quarter.
The under is 11-2 in the last 13 meetings in Memphis. Orlando is 4-11 ATS in the last 15 meetings in Memphis.
Orlando might be the biggest mystery in the NBA right now, with blowout victories over the Cavs on the road and home against the Spur. It’s led to a 5-2 record for a team that most projected to be outside the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference. Surely, it could all go south fast but right now the Magic are playing with chemistry and a ton of confidence. Memphis always puts out a strong, competitive product and is tough to beat on its home court. This spread just seems a bit too wide considering what Orlando has done thus far and the fact Conley Jr. is questionable to play. Take the points with the Magic.
