Grizzlies vs. Spurs Game 1 Prediction
Out of the four NBA playoff games played on Saturday, only one contest was decided by less than 10 points. Will tonight’s Grizzlies-Spurs matchup be a blowout as well?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Spurs opened as 15.5-point home favorites versus the Grizzlies and that’s where the line currently sits. As for the total for tonight’s 8:00PM ET tip-off, the number is now 189.5 after opening at 190.

San Antonio has some injury question marks heading into tonight, none bigger than the health status of LaMarcus Aldridge, who says that his finger is doing “okay.”
“It’s okay,” Aldridge said after practice on Friday. “Just trying to get used to my new tape job. I’ll be okay.”
Manu Ginobili told the San Antonio Express-News that the team can’t use health as an excuse not to perform in the opening round of the NBA playoffs.

“We need [Aldridge] to be healthy and feeling confident,” Ginobili said. “He’s sore and I don’t know how he’s going to feel for the game.”
The Grizzlies, of course, don’t want to hear about any injury woes from other teams. Tony Allen is questionable for tonight due to a hamstring injury while Mike Conley (Achilles), Brandan Wright (knee), Jordan Adams (knee) and Marc Gasol (foot) are all out for the season.
OUR PREDICTION: The over has cashed in six of the last eight meetings between these two teams in San Antonio and is 11-5 in the last 16 meetings overall. The over is also 7-3 in the Spurs’ last 10 conference quarterfinals games and is 5-1 in the Grizzlies’ last six road games. Even though the Spurs consistently play suffocating defense, these two teams usually trend over and should do so again tonight.
