NBA DFS Predictions: Is LeBron James a must-play tonight? 2/27/18

Tuesday’s NBA DFS Predictions

There’s a lot of options for NBA Daily Fantasy on Monday, with 10 games on the schedule. Here’s some players to consider for your roster.

Point Guard – Heat’s Tyler Johnson (vs. Philadelphia, 7:30PM ET) $5,100

Johnson is cheap in price and has been productive lately. He had 12 points, six assists and two steals at Philadelphia on Feb. 14 for 26.75 fantasy points and is coming off a 23-point, 2-steal performance against the Grizzlies on Feb. 24 for 33 fantasy points. Johnson continues to get good minutes and has been a regular part of the offense. Against the 76ers tonight, I think Johnson can push into another 30-point fantasy performance.

Latest odds for 76ers vs. Heat

Shooting Guard – Kings’ Buddy Hield (at Portland, 10PM ET) $5,300

Hield has looked very good since the All-Star Break, putting up 40 points, 17 rebounds and 5 steals while getting 30 shots over two games. Hield is another cheap option today that faces a decent defense in Portland. However, he is finding ways to produce. Look for Hield to continue to attack the glass and contend for a double-double as he battles to secure his spot in the lineup.

Small Forward – Cavs’ LeBron James (vs. Brooklyn, 7PM ET) $11,700

James would be my big spender tonight. After complaining about not getting calls on Sunday night, I would expect to see him get to the line plenty tonight. Despite concerns about a potential blowout, James is averaging 31 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists against the Nets this season. I think he has a dominant game and pushes for a triple-double. LeBron has posted at least 60 fantasy points in four of his last seven games.

Bet on Nets vs. Cavs

Power Forward – Nets’ DeMarre Carroll (at Cleveland, 7PM ET) $5,800

Caroll has been a very steady play as of late. Outside of a 2-of-11 shooting night at Charlotte last week, he has posted at least 30 fantasy points in six of his last seven games. While coming the Nets played last night, Carroll hasn’t shown back-to-back games being an issue for him. He had 14 points and 12 rebounds in his last back-to-back game at Detroit, which has better options in the paint than Cleveland.

Center – Hornets’ Dwight Howard (vs. Chicago, 7PM ET) $8,400

Howard has played below average his last two games, but is facing a Bulls team that has struggled with centers lately and is in youth mode. Howard should be able to eat up points and rebounds tonight against the Bulls, who played last night and gave up 18 points and nine rebounds to Jarrett Allen. Howard should get another double-double tonight and be closer to a 20-20 game than a 10-10 game.
