NBA DFS Predictions: Why Anthony Davis needs to be in your lineup 2/14/18

Wednesday’s NBA Daily Fantasy Picks

In a busy night of NBA Basketball who should you consider for your Daily Fantasy Basketball lineup tonight? Here’s some suggestions.

Point Guard – Suns’ Elfrid Payton (at Utah, 9PM ET) $7,500

Since being traded to the Suns, Payton has looked really good. Over his two games, he has combined for 48 points, 14 assists and 14 rebounds. He is averaging 42 fantasy points per game over this span. With Devin Booker continuing to deal with an injury and no reason for him to rush back, Payton brings a lot of appeal tonight. This trade may have put a little pep in his step and I like his surge to continue. He can save you some extra cash at other positions.

Shooting Guard – Pacers’ Victor Oladipo (at Brooklyn, 7:30PM ET) $9,600

This season has been a breakout year for Oladipo and I think he goes into the All-Star Break with another big game. He has put up over 60 fantasy points in his last two outings and Darren Collison remains out, which makes Oladipo more valuable when it comes to production. Oddsmakers only see Indiana as a 4.5-point favorite, so this could be a game where Oladipo logs a lot of minutes against the 26th-ranked defense in the league. Look for Oladipo to soar past his 42.8 fantasy ppg average tonight.

Bet on NBA Odds

Small Forward – Magic’s Mario Hezonja (vs. Charlotte, 7PM ET) $5,900

Another cheaper option tonight, Hezonja has been the one to step up with the loss of Aaron Gordon to injury. He is coming off a 46.5-fantasy point performance at Chicago on Monday night and posted 32.25 against Milwaukee on Saturday. Just a 16.7-fpp performer this season, continue to ride Heznoja for a cheap price while he is hot. Charlotte is an average defensive team and not particularly strong against forwards

Power Forward – Pelicans’ Anthony Davis (vs. L.A. Lakers, 8PM ET) $11,600

Power forward (or center) is where you can splurge as Davis has a matchup that seems destined for big things. The loss of DeMarcus Cousins has put Davis back into the do-everything role for New Orleans. He scored 87.75 fantasy points at Brooklyn this weekend and put up 60 at Detroit on Monday. The Lakers were already a bad defensive team before the trade deadline and haven’t improved since. Davis put up 27 points, 17 rebounds, three blocks and three steals in his first meeting with the Lakers this season.

Center – Hornets’ Dwight Howard (at Orlando, 7PM ET) $8,200

Howard has been one of the more consistent centers in the league, averaging 37.7 fantasy points per game. Tonight he matches up with the 27th-ranked defense that has injury issues in the frontcourt. That should certainly lead to his 36th double-double of the season. Howard put up 22 points with nine rebounds in a previous meeting with Orlando. I expect better than that tonight.
