Thursday’s NBA DFS Predictions
With just two games on the NBA Schedule, filling out your Daily Fantasy Basketball lineup could be a little more difficult. Here’s our suggested plays for Thursday.
Point Guard – Lakers’ Isaiah Thomas (at Minnesota, 9PM ET) $5,800
Coming off being ejected last night, Thomas should be fired up to have a big game for the Lakers. IT still has a chip on his shoulder from his tumultuous time with the Cavs and he should flashes of his old self in his L.A. debut at Dallas, scoring 22 points with six assists. Thomas has great value at just $5,800, giving you a chance to go with bigger names at other positions.
Latest odds for Lakers vs. T’Wolves
Shooting Guard – Bucks’ Khris Middleton (vs. Denver, 8PM ET) $6,900
Middleton has been a consistent scoring option for the Bucks and I would expect that to continue against one of the worst defensive teams in the league. Middleton has scored over 35 fantasy points in his last two games and has scored at least 20 points in three of his last four. He also can be a nice stat filler with rebounds, assists and steals. Another cheaper option for Thursday, I like Middleton to out-perform his usual expectations.
Small Forward – Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo (vs. Denver, 8PM ET) $10,700
The Greek Freak may not always put up big scoring numbers, but he is going to get his fantasy points through rebounds, assists and blocks. He is the one player I feel safest about tonight to get you at least 45 fantasy points. The Nuggets aren’t a defensive-minded team, which should lead to plenty of transition opportunities for Antetokounmpo and I expect him to also be dominant on the glass.
Power Forward – Lakers’ Kyle Kuzma (at Minnesota, 9PM ET) $6,900
The best rookie for Los Angeles continues to shine. He posted 33.25 points last night with 23 points and five rebounds. That rebound number is low for him and I would expect that to be up if his scoring dips a touch. He has scored at least 33 fantasy points in his last three and will continue to get opportunities with Los Angeles trading away Larry Nance.
Center – Karl-Anthony Towns (vs. L.A. Lakers, 9PM ET) $9,300
Towns has had a double-double in both meetings with the Lakers this season and he should be able to do that and more tonight at home. He has 64 points over his last two scorings and 111 fantasy points in those two contests. Towns has the shooting range to score all over and the size to pull down plenty of rebounds and blocks against this thing Lakers’ frontcourt. I expect Towns to be the top fantasy scorer in the NBA tonight.
