Fultz to go to the 76ers?
The Boston Celtics have traded out of the No. 1 pick. The Philadelphia 76ers now hold the top pick once again. Is it a slam dunk who they will take in the NBA Draft?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Washington’s Markelle Fultz appears to be the clear choice at No. 1, as he is getting odds of -5000 to be taken with the top pick. Other odds are Lonzo Ball (+1200), Jayson Tatum (+5000) and The Field (+700). The 2017 NBA Draft takes place on Thursday at 7PM ET and will air live on ESPN.

The Boston Celtics managed to win the 2017 NBA Draft Lottery thanks to owning the pick due to the Brooklyn Nets. However, this past weekend Boston agreed to deal the pick to the 76ers, who in turn gave up the No. 3 pick and a future first round pick as well. The Celtics didn’t really need the top pick, as Fultz and Ball have been looked at as the top options, but both are point guards. The Celtics currently have Isaiah Thomas, so the point guard position isn’t a big need right now.
The 76ers are reportedly taking Fultz with the No. 1 pick and he worked out for the team on Saturday. Philly will essentially be adding two No. 1 picks in the 2017-18 season, as they drafted Ben Simmons No. 1 last year, but an injury kept him from playing at all. Fultz is a 6-5 point guard out of Washington that played just one season with the Huskies. He averaged 23.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game while shooting 47.6 percent from the field and 41.3 percent from the arc.
