There wasn’t a lot to like about Cleveland in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, a 113-91 loss to the Warriors, but Love did some good things. The 6-10 forward out of UCLA grabbed a game-high 21 rebounds and still put up 15 points despite going just 4-for-13 from the field. Love showed effort throughout the game, which is more than what can be said for some others on the team.

Bet on the NBA Finals

In the 2017 playoffs, Love is now averaging 17 points and 11.1 rebounds per game through 14 contests. He has scored at least 15 points in six straight games and pulled down double figures in rebounds in his last six as well. During the regular season, Love averaged 11.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in two games against the Warriors. However, the small Golden State lineup has opened up opportunities for him on the glass and that could lead to some scoring chances as well if Cleveland decides to focus on getting him the ball more tonight. Something schematically has to change for the Cavs, so Love could see more touches. Either way, his effort on the glass shouldn’t change.
