Green is sometimes lost in the mix of the big scoring talent that Golden State has, but he contributes in many ways to this team. Aside from being an emotional leader, Green led the team in assists and steals this season. During the regular season, Green averaged 10.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 2.03 steals and 1.39 blocks per game. In the 2017 playoffs, Green is putting up 13.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 1.92 steals and 2.0 blocks per contest.
In Game 1 on Thursday, Green was somewhat quiet due to poor shooting. He had just 9 points on 3-of-12 from the floor and 1-of-5 from the arc. He did pull down 11 rebounds but had just 2 assists. He already has a triple-double in these playoffs, putting up 17 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists in Game 4 vs. Utah on May 8. He also has a triple-double this season against the Cavs. Green had 11 points with 13 rebounds and 11 assists in a Jan. 16 win at home over Cleveland. He has a total of five triple-doubles in the 2016-17 regular season and playoffs. He also did have a triple-double in the 2015 NBA Finals against the Cavs in the Game-6 finale. Green has the ability to get the prestigious stat tonight, but he needs a little luck from his teammates and needs to be involved in the offense enough to score in double figures. Sometimes getting to 10 points is his biggest challenge.
