Monday NBA Playoffs Opening Odds
(The Spread) – A miraculous fourth quarter comeback by the Portland Trail Blazers evened up their series with the Dallas Mavericks. Game 5 in that series, plus two other Game 4’s comprise Monday night’s NBA Playoffs schedule.
Portland looked dead in the water Saturday as it trailed 67-44 in the third quarter and by 18 points heading into the fourth quarter against Dallas. But led by shooting guard Brandon Roy, the Trail Blazers staged an unbelievable rally to squeak out an 84-82 victory. Roy finished with a team-best 24 points off the bench.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, the Mavericks are 4.5-point favorites in the game tonight at 8:35PM EST. The over-under is set at 184.5.
Dallas star forward Dirk Nowitzki was held to 20 points by Portland’s defense and the Mavericks were outscored 35-15 in the fourth quarter of their stinging defeat.
According to the latest NBA trends, Dallas is 9-6 against the spread and 8-7 straight up versus Portland over the last three seasons. Eight of 15 games in this series have gone over the total during the last three seasons.
Also at 8:35PM EST, the San Antonio Spurs are at the Memphis Grizzlies for Game 4. The Grizzlies lead the series 2-1 after a 91-88 win Saturday night. According to the latest public betting information, 74 percent of bets are currently on the Spurs.
Oklahoma City is at Denver at 10:35PM EST with the Thunder lead that series by a commanding 3-0. The Nuggets are 3.5-point favorites and the over-under is 206.
