The doubleheader begins at 7:10PM EST when the Atlanta Hawks host the Chicago Bulls in Game 3 with the series currently deadlocked at 1-1. Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Bulls 2.5-point favorites over the Hawks for Friday night’s showdown. The over/under total for Game 3 is currently 178 points.
Chicago played perhaps its strongest overall game during the postseason Wednesday when it rolled to an 86-73 victory to even up the series. Atlanta’s Joe Johnson was held to just 16 points after blowing up for 34 in the Hawks’ Game 1 win. Atlanta point guard Jeff Teague, starting for the injured Kirk Hinrich, led his squad with 21 points. Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose, the NBA’s MVP, scored 25 points and dished out 10 assists in the winning effort.
At 9:35PM EST, the Dallas Mavericks host the struggling Los Angeles Lakers in Game 3. The Mavericks are 2.5-point favorites and the over-under is set at 186. Dallas snatched the 2-0 series lead with a 93-81 victory Wednesday night in Los Angeles.
According to latest NBA trends, Dallas is 7-5 against the spread versus Los Angeles over the last three seasons. Seven of 12 games in this series have gone over the total during the last three seasons.
