Hornets vs. Kings Pick

Who the Public Likes: As of Tuesday afternoon, 67 percent of public bettors are on the Hornets to cover the spread.

Injury Report: Charlotte center Cody Zeller had surgery to repair torn meniscus and will be out until late January. For Sacrament, De’Aaron Fox is recovering from a quad injury and his status is questionable. Frank Mason is out tonight after leaving the last game with a heel contusion. Rookie Harry Giles is recovering from surgery in both knees and is expected back in early February.

Who the Trends Like: The Hornets are 6-2 ATS in their last eight meetings in Sacramento. The over is 5-2 in the last seven meetings. The over is 4-1 in the last five Sacramento home games against teams with a losing straight up record.

Who We Like: The NBA, and pro sports in general, can be impossible to predict sometimes. Case in point, the Hornets look like world beaters at Golden State before turning around to lose at a sub-.500 Clippers team (albeit with Blake Griffin back) in its next game. Charlotte is more like the latter team as it struggles mightily on the road with a 3-13 straight up mark on the season. Sacramento isn’t playing great basketball by any stretch of the imagination, but this is a good spot for the Kings.
