LINE MOVEMENT
Houston opened as a 17-point favorite, while the total has dropped slightly from 218 points. The spread is at -17.5 at most sportsbooks, but can be bet at -17. The total is at 216.5 at the majority of books, yet shooping around will allow you to find it at 217.
PUBLIC BETTING
As of Friday afternoon, 52 percent of public bets are siding with the Rockets. Online wager info also shows that 57 percent of bets are coming in on the over.
INJURY TO WATCH
Phoenix point guard Elfrid Payton (knee) is questionable to play tonight, while center Alex Len (ankle) is doubtful. Shooting guard Devin Booker (hand), small forward TJ Warren (knee) and center Tyson Chandler (neck) are all out indefinitely. Point guard Brandon Knight (knee) is out for the season. For Houston, power forward Luc Mbah a Moute (knee) is probable. Small forward Trevor Ariza (knee) and point guard Chris Paul (hip) are both questionable.
PUBLIC BETTING
The Suns were blown out 142-116 on their home court in the first meeting this season with the Rockets and 112-95 at home the next time, while on Jan. 28 they managed to keep it closer in Houston to the tune of 113-102. With the Rockets having clinched the top seed in the Western Conference, there is little incentive here. If it is a 15-20 point game heading into the fourth quarter, expect Houston to rest its key players and at the very least allow Phoenix into the backdoor cover.
