LINE MOVEMENT

The Wizards opened as 1.5-point home favorites but the line jumped a full point to 2.5 at the majority of sportsbooks. As for the total, it hit the board at 220.5 but was bet down to 217.

PUBLIC BETTING

As of this writing, 68% of betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Wizards to cover the point spread. Meanwhile, 67% of the betting tickets wagered online are on the over.

KEY INJURY TO WATCH

Paul Millsap (illness) is questionable to suit up for the Nuggets tonight while Gary Harris remains out with a knee injury. On the other side, John Wall (knee) is out and both Jodie Meeks (illness) and Mike Scott (illness) are questionable.

BETTING STRATEGY

Both of these teams have been brutal against the spread recently but I’m choosing to fade the home favorite and take the points. The Wizards are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games overall, are 1-3-1 against the number in their last five home games, and are 2-8-1 at the betting window in their last 11 home games when facing a team with a losing record. They’ve also dropped all five games against the spread in their last five attempts coming off a loss.
