Thunder vs. Grizzlies Pick
Will the Oklahoma City Thunder add to their current win streak tonight when they take on the Memphis Grizzlies at 8PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Grizzlies are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -1.5 points against the Thunder. The over/under total for the game is listed at 198 points. The Thunder have won and covered in two straight against Memphis.
Oklahoma City has won four straight, three of which have been by double figures, to improve to 20-12 on the season. They also have covered in four straight to move to 17-14-1 against the spread. OKC has actually won and covered in three straight on the road as well. They now average 107 points per game as an offense while the defense is giving up 104.8 points per contest. Russell Westbrook is having a dominant year, averaging 31.7 points, 10.6 rebounds and 10.9 assists per game. He has stepped up even more with the injury to Victor Oladipo. Oladipo has been out with a wrist injury and is expected to be out tonight as well.
Memphis has lost its last two games to fall to 20-14 on the year and 17-17 against the spread. The Grizzlies are also just 1-3 in their last four at home. While Memphis is a good defensive team that is giving up just 98.1 points per game, their offense struggles and only posts 97.7 points per contest. Marc Gasol has led the effort this year with 19.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game while Mike Conley is adding 18.1 points and 5.6 assists per game. Conley is questionable to play tonight due to a toe sprain.

This spread is a little confusing to me as OKC is one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now and Westbrook is playing at another level. Memphis isn’t a bad team, but I don’t know that they should be favored in this one. With how Westbrook is playing right now, I wouldn’t bet against OKC right now. I like them to not only cover, but win on the road.
