Spurs vs. Warriors Pick

Are the Golden State Warriors going to cover the big spread at home tonight when they play the San Antonio Spurs at 10:30PM ET?

CURRENT ODDS

According to oddsmakers at YouWager, the Warriors are an 11-point favorite favorite on the spread line. The total sits at 221 points.

Bet NBA Action For Thursday, March 8, 2018

LINE MOVEMENT

Golden State opened as an 11.5-point favorite before the hook was dropped, while the total has been bet up from 218 points. The spread is at -11 at most sportsbooks, but can be found at -11.5. The total is set at 221 everywhere I’ve looked.

PUBLIC BETTING

As of Thursday afternoon, 60 percent of public bets are siding with the Warriors. Online wager info also shows that 60 percent of bets are on the over.

INJURY TO WATCH

Spurs forward Rudy Gay is expected to play tonight after blowing out his eardrum. Pau Gasol will miss tonight’s game with a shoulder injury. For the Warriors, David West (arm cyst) and Andre Iguodala (wrist sprain) are both doubtful to play. Jordan Bell left the last game with an ankle injury and is expected to miss tonight’s game.

BETTING STRATEGY

Golden State has absolutely dominated this series as it has won each of the last seven meetings by at least 12 points, covering the spread six times. With the Warriors’ starters healthy and the fact they always seem to get up for the better opponents, I expect to see their ‘A’ game tonight. With Gasol out and LaMarcus Aldridge possibly not playing at 100 percent, I don’t think the Spurs have the firepower to keep up.
