Celtics vs. Warriors Pick
Are the Boston Celtics going to put a scare into the host Golden State Warriors tonight at 8:30PM ET?
Who Oddsmakers Like: Golden State. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Warriors are an 8.5-point favorite on the spread line. The total is set for 219 points.
Who the Public Likes: As of Saturday morning, public betting info had not yet been released. Click here for up-to-date information.
Injury Report: Celtics forward Al Horford sat out the last game with a head injury, but is probably to play tonight. Marcus Smart is out until mid-February with a hand laceration. Guerschon Yabusele has a sprained ankle and will not play tonight. Gordon Hayward is out indefinitely with a dislocated ankle and fractured tibia suffered in the season opener. For the Warriors, Draymond Green has an elbow injury but is expected to play. Patrick McCaw missed the last game with a strained back and is questionable. Jordan Bell has ankle inflammation and will be re-evaluated in early February.
Who the Trends Like: Boston is 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings in Golden State. The under is 4-0 in the last four meetings.
Who We Like: The Celtics are among the most well-coached teams in the NBA and it serves them well in high-profile matchups such as this. Boston has great recent history against the Warriors and looked strong its last game, a 113-102 win at the Clippers. The Warriors are 18-6 at home this season, but the Celtics are a very impressive 16-6 on the road. I expect this nationally televised contest to remain close throughout. Kyrie Irving always seems to play well against Golden State.
NBA DAILY PREDICTION: BOSTON CELTICS +8.5
