OKC got itself on the board in the series on Friday night with a 115-113 win over the Rockets. Houston leads 2-1 and the Rockets have covered the spread in eight of their last 10 games against the Thunder. OKC is now 48-37 overall, 29-13 at home and 46-38-1 against the spread. Houston is 57-28 overall, 25-17 on the road and 44-41 against the spread.
The Thunder remained a strong team at home with the Game-3 win. They shot 46-of-83 from the field and 9-of-19 from 3-point land in the victory. While Russell Westbrook had another triple-double of 32 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists, his teammates were more involved in this game. Taj Gibson had 20 points while three others scored in double figures. James Harden answered Westbrook with 44 points, six rebounds and six assists to lead the Rockets. Lou Williams added 22 points off the bench.
OKC is another team at home. Westbrook gets more support and he seems to play a little more under control. Houston has the offense to compete on the road and win, but when Westbrook gets rolling, it will be tough to stop him. I think the Thunder are going to find a way to win and cover today, as their secondary players should have some confidence from Friday’s win.
