Magic president of basketball operations Jeff Weltman said that Markelle Fultz (shoulder) is still without a timetable. Orlando traded a future first-round and second-round pick, along with Jonathon Simmons, to acquire Fultz at Thursday’s deadline. Here’s what Weltman had to say on Friday: “”As to the timetable, you guys have heard me say this to the point where you probably don’t want to hear me say it again, but I will anyway. We’re going to do it right. We are not going to do it fast. We look forward to getting him in here, getting our arms around him, [and] understanding everything that he’s dealing with. Getting him through that, it’s our job organizationally, from the performance directors to the coaches to all of us to put him in a position to succeed. And however long that takes, that’s how long it’ll take.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo made 13-of-19 shots for 29 points with 17 rebounds, five assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes against the Mavericks on Friday. Giannis was on the injury report with some soreness in his right knee, but he showed few signs of that while dominating the Mavs. He’s averaging an absurd 31.6 points, 11.4 boards, 5.0 dimes, 1.2 blocks, 1.6 steals and 1.0 triples on 64.1% shooting over his last five games. With Anthony Davis limited, Giannis might become the most valuable player outside of James Harden down the stretch.

The Magic have won three of their last four games as they begin a three-game road trip that includes stops in Milwaukee tonight, as well as trips to Atlanta and New Orleans. That said, the Bucks won the first two meetings between these two teams by an average of 16 points and also beat the Magic in nine of the previous 12 meetings. The Mavericks proved to be no match for the Bucks a few nights ago and while the Magic have been winning of late, they’re 8-17 on the road this year while the Bucks are 23-4 at home. From a betting standpoint, Orlando is just 4-9 against the spread in its last 13 road games while Milwaukee is 18-7-2 ATS in its last 27 games overall.
