According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, Golden State is a whopping 21.5-point home favorite versus Philadelphia for tonight’s 8:00PM ET tip-off. The over/under, meanwhile, is sitting at 224.5 points after the number opened at 226.

There’s little doubt the Warriors should win tonight but 20.5 points? Golden State has played down to its competition at times this season, which is why the Warriors are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games versus a team with a winning percentage below .400. They’re also 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games after scoring more than 125 points in their previous game so a letdown may occur tonight.

The Sixers are horrendous but they’re also 4-0 against the spread in their last four games versus a team with a winning percentage above .600, so they have a tendency to play up. There’s more value in grabbing the points with the lowly Sixers and hanging on for dear life as the minutes tick by, rather than laying over three touchdowns on the Warriors and watching Steve Kerr rest his starters in the fourth quarter. Too many opportunities for a backdoor cover tonight.
