Suns drop another on the road
Phoenix is coming off a 129-108 loss at Milwaukee yesterday for a third loss in four games. The Suns are 20-29 on the season, 11-12 on the road, 24-24-1 against the spread and 26-23 with the over.
The Suns are putting up 112.9 points per game this season while shooting 46.2 percent from the field. Defensively, Phoenix is allowing 113.8 points per game, while opponents shoot 47.2 percent against them. Devin Booker is leading the team with 27.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game. Deandre Ayton is adding 17.9 points and 11.7 rebounds per contest.
Nets fall at Washington
Brooklyn is coming off a 113-107 loss at Washington on Saturday. The Nets are just 3-7 in their last 10 games. Brooklyn is 21-27 on the season, 13-12 at home, 21-27 against the spread and 24-23-1 with the over.
The Nets are putting up 110.1 points per game on offense this season while shooting 44.4 percent from the field. Brooklyn is giving up 112.1 points per game while opponents shoot 44.2 percent from the floor. Kyrie Irving is out once again with a knee injury that will sideline him for a few weeks. He is averaging 27.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists per game this year. Spencer Dinwiddie is adding 21.5 points and 6.5 assists per contest.
NBA Betting Trends
Phoenix
The Suns are 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 road games and 6-2 ATS in their last eight as a road underdog.
Brooklyn
The Nets are 3-10 against the spread in their last 13 games following a loss and 5-14 ATS in their last 19 games overall.
Prediction:
The Suns picked up a 138-112 win over Brooklyn at home back on Nov. 10. This is a tough call, as Phoenix has the offensive potential to really break out any night. Brooklyn is again without Irving, but the Nets have spent the majority of the season without him as is. Brooklyn has been on a nice run of playing really bad teams, but is just 3-2 against them, losing to the likes of the Knicks and Wizards. I think Phoenix’ offensive ability is going to be a problem tonight. The Nets can’t rely on defense and I think they are going to have trouble keeping pace with Booker and company. Phoenix can certainly crap the bed, but they have played a much tougher schedule as of late to similar win-loss results.
NBA Prediction: Phoenix Suns +2.5
