According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Clippers are 2-point home favorites versus the Timberwolves tonight while the over/under is sitting at 205 points. Los Angeles opened as a 2.5-point favorite before the number dropped to 2, while the total hit the board at 201 before jumping to 205.
The Timberwolves have dropped back-to-back games at Dallas and at San Antonio, although their effort against the Spurs led to a cover as a 12-point underdog. Karl-Anthony Towns scored 27 points with 16 rebounds, one block and two 3-pointers in the loss to the Spurs, while Shabazz Muhammad scored 15 points in 23 minutes of play.
The Clippers are one of the hotter teams in the league, winning seven straight games, including four-straight at home. That said, Chris Paul underwent successful surgery on Wednesday to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb and he’s expected to miss the next 6-8 weeks of action. Blake Griffin isn’t expected to get back fro at least another 1-2 weeks as well.
