Jazz end win streak
Utah saw its five-game win streak come to an end on Monday night in a 101-92 loss at home to Toronto. The Jazz are now 41-23 on the season, 20-13 on the road, 30-32-2 against the spread and 33-31 with the over.
The Jazz are giving up just 107.9 points per game this season while opponents shoot 45.2 percent against them. On offense, Utah is putting up 111.0 points per game while shooting 47.5 percent from the field. Donovan Mitchell is leading the Jazz with 24.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. Bojan Bogdanovic is adding 20.2 points per game, while Rudy Gobert is averaging 15.1 points and 13.7 rebounds per contest.
Thunder making a push
Oklahoma City has climbed up to fifth in the West and they are just a game behind Utah for fourth following a three-game win streak on the road. OKC is coming off a 105-14 win at Boston on Sunday. The Thunder are 40-24 on the season, 20-13 at home, 40-24 against the spread and 33-30-1 with the under.
OKC is averaging 110.8 points per game on offense this season while shooting 47.3 percent from the field. Defensively, the Thunder are giving up 108.3 points per game while allowing opponents to shoot 45.6 percent from the floor. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is leading the Thunder with 19.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Danilo Gallinari and Dennis Schroder each average over 19 points per game as well.
NBA Betting Trends
Utah
The Jazz have covered in six straight as an underdog, but are just 2-7-1 against the spread in their last 10 games overall.
Oklahoma City
The Thunder are 7-3 against the spread in their last 10 games playing on two days of rest and 21-10 ATS in their last 31 games following a win.
Prediction:
These two have split the first two meetings this season, but OKC covered the spread in both as an underdog. The Thunder find themselves as the favorite today, but Utah has notoriously had some problems playing at Oklahoma City. Both teams have been playing pretty well as of late in regards to wins, but the Jazz have struggled to cover. I like the OKC combo of offense and defense tonight. The Thunder have some good scoring depth to work with and they have the size in the paint to battle on the boards with Gobert. I just don’t think Utah will have enough offense on the road to stop the current momentum of Oklahoma City.
NBA Prediction: Oklahoma City Thunder -2
