Golden State enters play with a 7-3 record over its last 10 games and is 5-5 against the spread during that span. The Warriors still own a losing record at the betting window this year at 33-38 and are just 16-21 against the number on the road.
Houston has won seven of its last 10 games as well, but unlike the Warriors is 6-4 against the spread during that stretch. The Rockets are also 42-31 at the betting window on the season, but are just 18-19 against the spread at home this year.
OUR PREDICTION: The Warriors have covered in four of their last five games in Houston and have cashed in eight of their last 11 games versus the Rockets overall. Golden State has also cashed in five of its last six games overall, is 4-0 against the number in its last four games playing on one day of rest, and is 10-4 ATS in its last 14 games when playing an opponent with a winning record. The Rockets, meanwhile, are just 1-4 against the spread in their lat five home games when playing an opponent with a winning record. It’s rare that you have an opportunity to bet the Warriors as an underdog. Since 2013, the Warriors have been an underdog just four times and they’re a perfect 4-0 ATS in that span, winning by an average margin of 5.8 points.
