Knicks vs. Hawks Prediction
With the Hawks struggling defensively, is the over a good bet to cash when they host the Knicks today at 3:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Hawks are 7-point home favorites versus the Knicks after opening as an 8.5-point favorite. As for the total, the number hit the board at 211 and that’s where it currently sits at the majority of online and Vegas sports books.
The Knicks have lost three of their last five games but are coming off a 110-107 victory over the Hornets at home. Kyle O’Quinn sparked the Knicks in the second half, scoring 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting with seven rebounds in 16 minutes of play. The team will be without Derrick Rose in today’s game after he suffered an ankle injury in the third quarter.
The Hawks have dropped two of their last three games and were routed 112-86 by the Wizards at home on Friday. Paul Millsap scored a season-low four points with four rebounds, one assist and one block in the loss. The Hawks will be without Thabo Sefolosha (groin) today but Mike Muscala (ankle) is probable to play.

OUR PREDICTION: Both teams are in a bit of a funk and with Rose out, it’s hard to predict which Knicks squad will show up today in Atlanta. But with the Hawks struggling defensively over their last few games, the over appears to be a solid bet today. The over has cashed in nine of the last 12 meetings between these two teams and in 20 of the last 28 meetings in Atlanta. The over is also 6-2 in the Hawks’ last eight games and is 10-4 in the Knicks’ last 14 games coming off a win.
