Crimson Tide rolls past Bulldogs
Alabama cruised to a 90-69 home victory Wednesday night over Mississippi State to improve to 8-6 overall and 1-1 in Southeastern Conference action. The Crimson Tide outscored the Bulldogs 48-35 in the second half to pull away. John Petty Jr. paced Alabama with 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting including 4-of-7 from 3-point distance plus 2-of-2 at the free throw line. He also notched six rebounds and three assists. Kira Lewis Jr. tallied 17 points, eight boards and four assists. Galin Smith accounted for 11 points, four caroms and two assists. James Bolden recorded 11 points and two rebounds off the bench. Wildcats rally past Bulldogs
Kentucky secured a 78-69 win Tuesday night at Georgia to move to 11-3 overall and 2-0 in SEC play. The Wildcats outscored the Bulldogs 47-32 in the second half after trailing by six at the break. Tyrese Maxey racked up 17 points, eight assists, seven boards and four blocked shots. Immanuel Quickley accounted for 15 points, five caroms, two assists and two steals off the bench. College Basketball Betting Trends
Alabama
The Crimson Tide are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall. Alabama is 7-0 ATS in its last seven games following an ATS win.
Kentucky
The Wildcats are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games versus a team with a losing road record. The favorite is 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings.
Prediction:
The Crimson Tide have had their moments this season and have lost a few very close games, but they also don’t have a win over a top-50 opponent. With Kentucky seemingly hitting its stride as of late and putting it together in the second half at Georgia, I think another strong win is in the card here. Alabama struggles on the defensive end too often and that is cause for concern in this tough road environment.
