Golden Bears get past Utes in OT

California secured an 86-79 home win in overtime Saturday over Utah to improve to 13-16 overall and 7-9 in the Pac-12 Conference. The Golden Bears outscored the Utes 45-41 in the second half and 17-10 in the extra session to clinch the victory. Matt Bradley paced Cal with 21 points off the bench on 7-of-17 shooting including 1-of-4 from 3-point distance plus 6-of-6 at the free throw line. He also notched five rebounds and two assists. Grant Anticevich accounted for 17 points and eight boards. Paris Austin tallied 15 points, five caroms, four assists and two steals. Andre Kelly racked up 15 points, nine rebounds and five blocked shots as a reserve. Joel Brown added 11 points, two boards and two dimes off the bench.

Ducks ease past rivals

Oregon earned a 69-54 win at home last Thursday night over rival Oregon State to move to 22-7 overall and 11-5 in conference action. The Ducks outscored the Beavers 40-29 in the second half to pull away. Payton Pritchard led Oregon with 23 points on 9-of-18 shooting including 5-of-9 from 3-point range. He also contributed three rebounds, three assists and two steals. Will Richardson accounted for 15 points and four boards. Anthony Mathis tallied 13 points, three caroms and two assists.

College Basketball Betting Trends

California

The Golden Bears are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. California is 2-8 ATS in its last 10 road games.

Oregon

The Ducks are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games. The home team is 5-11 ATS in the last 16 meetings.

Prediction:

The Ducks beat California by five on the road and while they do have more rest coming in, it shouldn’t be much of an issue for the Golden Bears having not played since the weekend. Cal made some lineup adjustments and has quietly won three of four. With Oregon having a revenge game against Stanford coming up, I could see it looking ahead a little bit. The Golden Bears have been blown out on several occasions this season, but with added confidence from performances like their 14-point home win over a solid Colorado squad I like their chances to keep this one competitive enough.
