Auburn vs. Kentucky Pick
Will No. 6 Kentucky be able to storm past Auburn when the two meet in SEC action today at 4PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Kentucky is the clear favorite today, as the Wildcats are getting odds of -23.5 points against the Tigers. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 171.5 points. Kentucky has won nine of the last 10 in this series, but Auburn is 6-3-1 against the spread in those 10 games.
Kentucky has started SEC play 4-0 to move to 14-2 on the season. The Wildcats have covered in their SEC games as well and are 11-5 against the spread on the season. Kentucky overwhelms on offense, averaging 93.8 points per game this season while holding opponents to just 71.7 points per game. Malik Monk is leading the offense with 21.7 points per game while De’Aaron Fox is adding 16.7 points and 6.4 rebounds per contest.
Auburn picked up its first SEC win on Tuesday, beating Missouri 77-72 on the road to move to 11-5 overall and 1-3 in conference play. The Tigers are also 1-3 against the spread in SEC play and 8-6 against the spread overall. Auburn has put up 79.2 points per game on offense, but the defense is allowing 75 points per contest. The offense will be without one of its leading scorers in Danjel Purifoy, as he has an ankle injury. Purifoy averages 13.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Mustapha Heron is leading the team this year with 16.2 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.

Auburn is coming in hampered without Purifoy in the lineup and they are a team that averages just 70 points per game on the road. That’s not going to fly against a Kentucky team putting up nearly 96 points per game at home. The Wildcats have scored 97 or more in three of their four SEC games and I see another big showing today.
