LSU vs. Kentucky Pick

Can No. 15 Kentucky stop the bleeding when it plays host to LSU tonight at 7PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Kentucky is the heavy favorite tonight, as the Wildcats are getting odds of -24.5 points against the Tigers. The over/under total for the game is listed at 171.5 points. Kentucky has won four of the last five against LSU, but the Tigers are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight meetings with the Wildcats.

Bet on LSU vs. Kentucky

Kentucky is coming off an 88-66 thrashing at Florida. The Wildcats have lost three of their last four to drop to 18-5 overall and 8-2 in the SEC. The Wildcats have also failed to over in their last four and are now 12-11 against the spread on the season. In 2016-17, Kentucky is averaging 90.2 points per game on offense while allowing 73.9 on defense. Malik Monk is averaging 21.9 points to lead the Wildcats while De’Aaron Fox is adding 16 points and 5.5 assists per contest.

LSU is certainly not playing too well coming into tonight, as the Tigers have dropped nine straight games to fall to 9-13 overall and 1-9 in the SEC. LSU has gone 3-6 against the spread in these nine games to fall to 8-12-1 against the spread on the season. LSU is putting up 74.6 points per game on offense, but allowing 81.2 on defense. On the road, the Tigers are giving up 88.8 per game. Antonio Blakeney is leading LSU with 15.6 points and 5 rebounds per game while Duop Reath is adding 13.5 points and 6.4 boards per contest.

Kentucky is clearly the more talented team, but the Wildcats are really struggling right now. Their lone win over the last two weeks was 90-81 over Georgia at home, but it took OT and the Wildcats were a 15.5-point favorite. Kentucky hasn’t covered as this big of a favorite in their last two and I think LSU is a team that will find a way to stay within 25 points. The Tigers have had some competitive battles with Kentucky in the past and will do so tonight.
