Duke vs. St. John’s College Basketball Predictions Against The Spread

Duke vs. St. John’s Pick

Will No. 4 Duke have any trouble when it goes on the road for a non-conference game against St. John’s today at Noon ET?

According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Duke is favored in this game, as the Blue Devils are getting odds of -11 points against St. John’s. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 155 points. Today’s game will take place from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York and air live on FOX.

Duke is coming off an 88-66 win this week after suffering a 65-63 loss at home to Virginia last weekend. The Blue Devils are 19-3 overall now, 4-2 on the road and 13-7 against the spread. Duke is putting up 90.2 points per game this season while allowing 72 per contest. Marvin Bagley III is leading Duke with 21.5 points and 11.4 rebounds per game while Wendell Carter Jr. is adding 14.5 points and 9.3 rebounds per contest.

St. John’s has lost 11 straight games coming into today, failing to cover in their last four as well. The Red Storm are 10-13 overall, 6-6 at home and 9-12 against the spread. St. John’s is averaging 72.3 points per game on offense while allowing 72.2 points per game. Shamorie Ponds has been leading the team with 19.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game while Bashir Ahmed is adding 11.6 points per contest.

Bet on Duke vs. St. John’s

Duke has won nine of its last 10 meetings with St. John’s, but the Red Storm have covered the spread in four of the last five in this series. Duke has been on a nice run over recent weeks. Despite losing to UVA, it was by two points and against a very good team. The Blue Devils are still 6-1 overall and 5-2 ATS in their last seven. St. John’s has little to compete against Duke with so I think this game will get ugly quick. The public betting is strongly with Duke as well today.

CBB DAILY PREDICTION: DUKE -11
