Gonzaga vs. Florida Pick
In a great matchup of top-20 teams No. 17 Gonzaga is set to face No. 7 Florida tonight at 11PM ET in the PK80-Motion Tournament.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Florida is the slight favorite in this game, as the Gators are getting odds of -2.5 points against Gonzaga. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 155 points. Today’s game takes place from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon and will air live on ESPN2.
Florida is coming off a 108-87 win over Stanford in last night’s tournament opener. The Gators are now 4-0 on the season with a 3-1 mark against the spread. Florida is averaging 100.5 points per game this season while allowing 73 points per game. Egor Koulechov is leading Florida with 21.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. Jalen Hudson is adding 18 points per contest as well.
Gonzaga is also off to a 4-0 start thanks to an 86-59 win over Ohio State last night. The Bulldogs are just 1-1 against the spread. Gonzaga is putting up 92 points per game thus far while holding opponents to just 65.8 points per contest. The Bulldogs have some nice balanced, as five players average double figures and two more average over 8 points per game. Josh Perkins is leading the way with 15 points per game while Killian Tillie is adding 11.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per contest.
Gonzaga has won two of its last three meetings with Florida, including a meeting a year ago tomorrow, 77-72. However, Zaga has struggled against the SEC, going just 5-11 against the spread in its last 16 meetings with the conference. Florida has been out of conference, posting an 8-1-1 record against the spread in their last 10. The public betting is siding with Florida in this matchup and I am going to agree with them.
