Wednesday’s SEC Predictions
The SEC has three games on the docket for Wednesday night. Which teams will pick up wins and covers in tonight’s action?
Georgia at South Carolina, 6:30PM ET (SEC Network)
According to oddsmakers at YouWager, South Carolina is the slim favorite in this game, as the Gamecocks are getting odds of -2.5 points against Georgia. It’s hard to believe the Gamecocks were a Final 4 team a year ago and now are just 14-13 overall and 5-9 in the SEC. They have still managed some good wins during the season, beating Auburn, Florida and Kentucky. However, they play down to lesser competition. They are just 5-7 against the spread this season at home. Georgia has one of the best players in the conference in Yante Maten and I think he will give SC all it can handle. The Gamecocks actually give up more points per game at home than on the road and I think Georgia will capitalize on that. SEC PREDICTIONS: GEORGIA +2.5
Bet on Georgia vs. South Carolina
Alabama at No. 12 Auburn, 8:30PM ET (SEC Network)
Auburn is coming off a surprise loss and now will host its rival, Alabama. Oddsmakers have the Tigers as a 7.5-point favorite against the Tide tonight. Auburn has bounced back well from losses, covering and winning following their last two SEC defeats. Alabama has failed to cover in three of their last four on the road and are just 2-6 straight up on the road this season. Auburn will also have revenge on its mind from a 76-71 loss at Alabama on Jan. 17. The Tigers put up nearly 90 points per game at home and Alabama just doesn’t have an offense to do something like that. SEC PREDICTIONS: AUBURN -7.5

Florida at No. 19 Tennessee, 9PM ET (ESPN2)
Another big rivalry game tonight, oddsmakers have Tennessee as the favorite. The Vols are getting odds of -4.5 points against Florida. These two have yet to meet this season, but Florida has won and covered in five of the last six in the series. After a great start to the season, the Gators have been a bit of a mess, dropping five of their last eight games. They are just 2-5-1 ATS in those eight as well. Tennessee has lost two of its last three, but both were on the road. They have won 11 of their 13 home games. Florida is a team that could still return to previous form, but injuries have been a recent issue. I think winning at UT tonight will be too difficult and the Vols will have enough on offense to win somewhat comfortably. SEC PREDICTIONS: TENNESSEE -4.5
