Tuesday’s First Four Predictions

The 2018 NCAA Tournament begins play on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 with a pair of First Four games. Here’s our picks for the two games in Dayton.

543 LIU Brooklyn +4.5 vs. 544 Radford, 6:40PM ET (TRU TV)

According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Radford is the favorite in this game, as the Highlanders are getting odds of -4.5 points against the Blackbirds. These pair of No. 16 seeds in the East Regional are playing for a chance to face Villanova. LIU Brooklyn won the NEC Tournament and has an 18-16 record while Radford is 22-12 overall and the winner out of the Big South. Radford is 3-0 on a neutral floor while Brooklyn is just 1-1. Neither team has much betting history to go on this season. I like the Radford defense in this one. The Highlanders hold opponents to just 65 points per game while LIU Brooklyn gives up nearly 77 per game. Look for Radford to lock up the Blackbirds. NCAA TOURNAMENT PREDICTIONS: 544 RADFORD -4.5

Bet on College Basketball for Tuesday, March 13, 2018

545 St. Bonaventure +3.5 vs. 546 UCLA, 9:10PM ET (TRU TV)

According to oddsmakers, UCLA is the favorite in this game, as the Bruins are getting odds of -3.5 points. These two 11 seeds in the East are both at-large bids. UCLA went 21-11 this season out of the Pac-12 while the Bonnies were 25-7 out of the A-10. Prior to the loss to Davison in the conference tournament, St. Bonaventure had won 13 straight. The Bonnies are accustomed to winning and being competitive. UCLA isn’t a consistent team, as the Bruins give up 83 points per game away from home. I think the Bonnies can pull off the upset and be a threat in the days to come. NCAA TOURNAMENT PREDICTIONS: 545 ST. BONAVENTURE +3.5
