NCAA Tournament Odds: Duke favored to win Midwest Region over Kansas

Will Duke be able to make a run through the rest of the Midwest Region in the NCAA Tournament? Here’s a look at the latest odds to reach the Final Four.

According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Duke is the favorite in the Midwest, as the Blue Devils are getting -150 odds. Other odds to prevail are Kansas (+205), Clemson (+800) and Syracuse (+1800). The Midwest Region semifinals and final will take place from CenturyLink Center Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska.

Bet on the 2018 NCAA Tournament

Duke is the second seed in the region, but the Blue Devils cruised in their first two games of the tournament, beating Iona (89-67) and Rhode Island (87-62). Duke will face Syracuse in the regional semifinal on Friday. The Blue Devils are looking to make their 16th Final Four appearance, last doing so in 2015.

Kansas is the top seed in the region and just one of two top seeds remaining in the tournament. The Jayhawks defeated Penn (76-60) to open up the tournament and then grinded out a victory over Seton Hall (83-79). Kansas will face Clemson in the third round. The Jayhawks have reached the Final Four 14 times in program history, last doing so in 2012.

Clemson is the fifth seed in this region. The Tigers opened up the tournament with a victory over New Mexico State (79-68) and then hammered Auburn (84-53). Clemson has never reached the Final Four in program history.

Syracuse is the No. 11 seed in the region. The Orange had to win three games last week to reach the Sweet 16. The Orange beat Arizona State (60-56), TCU (57-52) and third-seeded Michigan State (55-53). Syracuse has reached the Final Four six times, last doing so in 2016.
