Pac-12 Tournament Predictions
Will there be any surprises in the Pac-12 Tournament this weekend? Here’s our predictions for this week’s big event out west.
The Big East Tournament is a 12-team, single-elimination tournament with the bottom eight seeds opening play on Wednesday with four games and the top four seeds automatically on to the quarterfinals on Thursday. The tournament takes place from T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.
According to oddsmakers at YouWager, 14141 Arizona is the slight favorite in this game, as the Wildcats are getting odds of +190 to win. Other short odds to win are 14142 USC (+400), 14144 UCLA (+550) and 14143 Utah (+600).
Bet on the Pac-12 Conference Tournament
Arizona holds the top seed in the tournament this week after going 14-4 in conference play. The Wildcats are also 24-7 overall. Arizona has won this tournament six times, most of any team in conference history. It also is the defending champ.
USC holds the second seed this week thanks to a 12-6 Pac-12 record. The Trojans are 21-10 overall. USC won this tournament in 2009 for its only title.
UCLA is the fourth seed in this tournament. The Bruins were 11-7 in conference play and 20-10 overall. The Bruins have won this tournament four times, last doing so in 2014.
Utah will be the third seed this week. The Utes were 11-7 overall and 19-10 in conference play. Utah has never won this tournament.
Arizona is the only ranked team in the field this week, but the Wildcats have their fair share of letdowns throughout the year. Though it hasn’t been playing its best recently, I think UCLA may be the team to go with this week. The Bruins are 3-0 against the top two seeds this season and also hold a win over Stanford, their potential quarterfinal opponent. UCLA seem to raise its game against better opponents, which it will need to do each game this week. If you are looking for the potential upset, I think the Bruins are the play.
